The seminar will inform managers and staff about how both unconscious bias and microaggressions can occur in any workplace, and affect female and minority staff disproportionately. The workshop will include coverage of how to identify, deal with and prevent future instances of unconscious bias and microaggressions.

This workshop with OAE will cover the workplace accommodation process, the accommodation requirements that Illini Union supervisors will need to address, the legal requirements faced by supervisors in both identifying and remedying any instances of discrimination or harassment at work, and the process by which employees can report problems in the most suitable manner

For Conflict Management Strategies, we will discuss the nature and sources of workplace conflict. After that, we will explore the most appropriate conflict management strategies to use in different workplace situations. This workshop will include practical, team-based activities as well as a personal assessment of each participant's conflict management style.

In Leading & Influencing Teams, we will discuss and explore the leadership skills necessary for success as a supervisor. This workshop will be hands-on and participants will interact with one another as they gain actionable insights about their personal leadership styles and effective techniques for influencing coworkers.
