  • CSGGE Lunch Series: Shaimaa Khanam

    CSGGE Lunch Series, "Gender Equity in an Inequitable Era" will host Shaimaa Khanam, Graduate Student in the Department of Communication. Her talk, "Audiences interpretations of gender problems based on Netflix show, Adolescence”, will take place on October 8th at 12pm in person at 306 Coble Hall and virtually. Lunch provided for in-person attendees.

  • Lunch on Us

    Lunch on Us is La Casa Cultural Latina’s signature educational and community-building series, held on select Thursdays throughout the academic year and open to all University of Illinois students. Over a free lunch, students participate in meaningful conversations, interactive workshops, panel discussions, and presentations led by campus and community partners.

  • Indigenous Peoples' Day

    This year’s Indigenous Peoples’ Day examines how Native mascots, logos, and stereotypical imagery perpetuate colonial narratives and cause harm. Through programs and dialogue, we will challenge notions of “honor,” center Indigenous voices, and explore how self-representation can affirm the diversity, humanity, sovereignty, and contemporary presence of Indigenous peoples.

  • Level 2 (in-person): Analysis and Reflection of Safety and Security Abroad for Experienced Program Leaders

    The Level 2: Analysis and Reflection of Safety & Security Abroad for Experienced Program Leaders guides program leaders (faculty, staff, or students leading programs) in preparing for the safest possible experience abroad. Those who lead, or assist, short-term education abroad or other University-related travel abroad for students must attend at least one workshop a year.
