This year’s Indigenous Peoples’ Day examines how Native mascots, logos, and stereotypical imagery perpetuate colonial narratives and cause harm. Through programs and dialogue, we will challenge notions of “honor,” center Indigenous voices, and explore how self-representation can affirm the diversity, humanity, sovereignty, and contemporary presence of Indigenous peoples.

Spulock Museum (600 S. Gregory Street, Urbana) will serve as the venue for programs happening between 10:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The Native American House (1206 W. Nevada St, Urbana) will serve as the site of the outdoor program starting at 4:00 p.m. llinois Street Dining Center (1010 W. Illinois St., Urbana) will serve as the location for the Native-theme meals at 4:30pm.

Join us for our Dish It Up/Lunch on Us Series at the Women's Resources Center every 2nd and 4th Monday at noon (12 pm CST), while listening to speakers, lecturers, and panelists explore a variety of topics at the intersection of gender and other social identities.

Join the WRC for Organizing for Gender Justice where will discuss strategies for organizing and mobilizing for social change. We will explore all that goes into developing a campaign and the University policies around freedom of expression and freedom of speech.

Stay connected all semester long with Conexiones, a welcoming space for dialogue, relationship-building, and community connection. Through intentional programs focused on holistic well-being, student engagement, and professional development, Conexiones centers the Latine community and strengthens students’ sense of belonging.

Join Krannert Art Museum and Family Service of Champaign County for a Creative Aging Art Tour and Memory Café, a guided tour of the museum’s collection for seniors, those living with dementia or Alzheimer’s, and care partners, followed by refreshments, artmaking activities, and conversation.

Lunch on Us is La Casa Cultural Latina’s signature educational and community-building series, held on select Thursdays throughout the academic year and open to all University of Illinois students. Over a free lunch, students participate in meaningful conversations, interactive workshops, panel discussions, and presentations led by campus and community partners.

Join us for a chance to meet artist Anida Yoeu Ali! She is returning to campus to receive a 2026 FAA Distinguished Legacy Award. Anida Yoeu Ali (BFA '96 Graphic Design) is an interdisciplinary artist whose works span performance, installation, new media, public encounters, and political agitation. She is currently exhibiting at the Vincent Price Art Museum in Los Angeles

Hands-on art activities for children ages 3+ and their caregivers! Throughout the galleries, enjoy arts activities, family tours, and demonstrations, celebrating the new exhibitions on display. Kid visitors can complete a scavenger hunt for a prize! This event is free and open to all.
