During this workshop, we will discuss the fundamentals of proposal writing, guiding students to formulate successful research projects and explain their research in a concise and compelling manner that is understandable to a general audience. Students will leave the workshop with (1) basic knowledge about research proposals and their structure, (2) tactics and tools to write successful research statements, and (3) a list of resources for assistance in the writing process. This workshop is a collaboration between the Office of Undergraduate Research and the Writers Workshop.
This presentation will be held via Zoom and is open to all current University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign affiliates (students, faculty, and staff). You will need to be logged into your Illinois Zoom account to join.
Please register with your UIUC email by March 5 to receive the Zoom details on the morning of the event. If you register on the day of, please email wow@illinois.edu immediately to request the Zoom details - we will do our best to get them to you prior to the event.
All registrants will receive access to the presentation materials via email the following business day. All Zoom presentations are recorded and recordings will be included in the presentation materials.
