Join us on Wednesday, April 16 from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a Women in Tech Luncheon with Brooke Elliott, dean of Gies College of Business.

About the Speaker:
Brooke Elliott is the dean of Gies College of Business and the Josef and Margot Lakonishok Professor in Business at the University of Illinois. Her appointment as dean began August 16, 2024. Elliott is the 11th dean in the 100+ year history of Gies Business and the first woman to ever hold that position.

Prior to her current role, Elliott served as the Executive Associate Dean of Academic Programs and EY Professor in Gies College of Business. She has been a faculty member at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for over 20 years, starting as an Assistant Professor in 2003. Elliott is a recognized expert in the accounting field, with research centering around determinants of investors’ use of accounting information in their investment-related judgments and decisions, the relation between accounting information/disclosures and investor sentiment and managers’ strategic use of and investor response to non-GAAP earnings disclosures.
