Join the forest preserves’ Natural Resources staff to recognize and honor Indigenous Peoples’ Day. The event will start in the Museum of the Grand Prairie classroom for a small talk from Natural Resources and Museum staff. Then we will move across the road to Buffalo Trace to collect native seed that will be used in future restorations around the preserves. All tools provided. Long pants and closed-toe shoes required. All ages welcome but little ones must be accompanied by an adult.
