Research Park Events

This lunchtime talk with Dr. Nii Dodoo-Amoo will provide an overview for startups and entrepreneurs on the intricacies of fundraising, managing equity, understanding cap tables, and determining company valuations through various stages of investment. It begins with the basics of equity and cap tables, then delves into liquidation preferences and the impact of dilution on the founder’s equity. The talk will also discuss the role valuation plays in negotiating with investors and how to think of valuation both from a founder's and investor’s point of view.

All Research Park events are free; however, registration is required to ensure that we have adequate seating and food for all participants: https://forms.illinois.edu/sec/202518893
