Join us on Thursday, February 8, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM for Intro to Angel Investing with Illini Angels Director Paul Magelli.

Angel investing involves high-net-worth individuals, known as "angels" providing capital to startups typically in exchange for equity. These investors often play a mentorship role, offering guidance and expertise to help the nascent companies succeed. However, it is estimated that only 10% of startups are successful in acquiring angel capital.

This workshop will provide an overview of angel investing and Illini Angels, the angel investing network of the University of Illinois system. It will equip you with tools to better your chances with individual angels as well as angel networks and help you understand:

  • what drives angels to invest
  • what angels are looking for in companies
  • what angel investors want in return for their investment
  • requirements for investing

This event is free; however, registration is encouraged to ensure that we have enough food and seating: https://forms.illinois.edu/sec/541399019
