Every year campus recreation hosts the Deterding Annual Blood Drive. The Blood Drive will be held at Campus Recreation. The date is Tuesday, November 8th, from 10 AM to 3 PM at the ARC,  located in room MP7. The address is 201 E Peabody Dr, Champaign, IL 61820

Reasons to donate blood:

  1.  Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. requires a blood transfusion, according to the American Red Cross. The benefits of donating blood include helping people injured in accidents, undergoing cancer treatment, and battling blood diseases, among other reasons.-Health Matters

  2.  A Free Health Screening

  3. Regular blood donation is linked to lower blood pressure and a lower risk of heart attacks. “It definitely helps to reduce cardiovascular risk factors,” says Dr. DeSimone.

We will be hosting a friendly competition. The prize is a voucher for a free cooking class for up to 20 participants. If you are interested in registering your team to compete, please email me with your Team Name and a roster of your teammates. All participants are still required to sign up for an appointment to guarantee an opportunity to donate. Some spots will be available for drop-in but are not guaranteed.
