Writers Workshop General Events

Kenrick Lamar, Drake, Kanye, Juice WRLD, Doja Cat, Meghan Thee Stallion, Cardi B. You may associate listening to their music just with your walks to class and study breaks. Yet, hip-hop provides helpful insight into one of the most difficult writing skills: source integration. This session will use the concept of music sampling as a primer for understanding how integrating sources into your academic writing. Come listen to some hip-hop references as a way of learning just some textbook stuff.

This event will be held  through Zoom. It is open to current University of Illinois affiliates (students, faculty, and staff). Please register with your University of Illinois email account by 11:59pm CT on April 5, and we will send an email with the Zoom meeting invitation on the morning of the event.
