Join the Data Science User Group this Friday as we welcome Haohan Wang, assistant professor in the School of Information Sciences at the University of Illinois. Haohan will be presenting on the topic of Automatic Jailbreaking Large Language Models via Role-playing.  Large Language Models (LLMs) excel in Natural Language Processing (NLP) with human-like text generation, but the misuse of them has raised public concern and prompted the need for safety measures.  Proactive testing with jailbreaks, meticulously crafted prompts that bypass model constraints and policies, has become mainstream to ensure security and reliability upon model release.

About DSUG:

The aim of the user group is to build a community of interest around data science to foster learning, collaboration, and networking. The group will serve both students and professionals to bridge the gap between the analytical sciences and practical applications of industry. Anyone is invited and included, from undergraduate students (or younger!) to seasoned professionals. There is no requirement for admission, only an interest in learning more about data science.

Interested in joining other peer-sharing groups about tech and entrepreneurialism? Be sure to check-out our other monthly meetup groups here.
