IS249 Practicum is an experiential learning course which allows students to gain work experience and explore career options in information sciences in a wide variety of professional settings. If this sounds interesting and you want to learn more, join us for this virtual session with current BSIS students who are currently taking IS249.

Quick facts about Practicum:

  • Open to current BSIS majors who have completed either IS101 or IS202
  • At least 100 hours of work required, can be paid or unpaid
  • work must be related to information sciences in some way
  • Practicum is always 3 credits 
  • Deadline to enroll in Practicum each semester is the 10th day of classes (January 31)
