The Graphic Possibilities Research Wikidata Team is happily inviting you to join us for our next Comics as Data North America (CaDNA) Wiki-a-thon! We’ve attached a flyer to circulate in your respective nodes and communities, and our website has much more info as well. Please feel free to share widely with interested parties, including staff, specialists, students, Wikidata enthusiasts, and beyond.

Graphic Possibilities

THE SECOND WORLD: Comics as Data Wikidata Edit-a-thon

October 21st & 22nd 2021

Sessions will run from 10:00-4:00pm EST

Register by Sunday Oct. 17th, 2021, 11pm EST.

https://graphicpossibilities.hcommons.org/wikidata/

Interested participants can go to our website (linked on the flyer and above) for more information and to register. The Wikidata section of our website will be one of our primary hubs of information for the event, so we will periodically be updating it with more information in the coming weeks.

Again, no Wikidata experience necessary! Our Wikidata specialist, Kate Topham, put together a really helpful tutorial video for our event last year, which you can find on our Wikidata page.

We also have a wonderful podcast episode introducing Wikidata with guest Will Kent, WikiEDU Specialist.

If you (or anyone in your community) have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're looking forward to doing some fabulous comics/DH work with you all!

Take care,

Justin Wigard (on behalf of The Graphic Possibilities Wikidata Team: Julian Chambliss, Nicole Huff, Kate Topham, and myself)
