Engaging in Critical Conversations: Tools for the Classroom and Beyond

Thursday, October 14th

1:00pm – 2:00pm

Facilitated by iSchool Adjunct, Melissa Wong

Online: https://illinois.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZYrd-uvpjwjHtTm0OYVtIZBDTSJt3-EYPPg

Critical conversations about marginalization and oppression, equity, and social justice within information organizations and the communities they serve are essential to our development as information professionals and occur on a regular basis in iSchool courses. These conversations can be challenging, and we all need to be prepared to engage in them in ways that are respectful, inclusive and productive. This workshop will help you develop strategies for engaging in critical conversations that you can use in the classroom, your professional life, and elsewhere.
