The Humanities Research Institute and The Women and Gender in Global Perspectives Program co-host an annual event bringing together faculty, staff, students, and community members to recognize people who have made a difference in academia. In 2021, the American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages (AATSEEL), through a generous grant, piloted a non-creditbearing program leading to a professional Certificate in Diverse and Inclusive Pedagogies (CDIPS) for K-12 and post-secondary faculty and graduate students who plan to pursue careers teaching Slavic and East European languages.
