Wellness Community Calendar

The Student Wellness Community Calendar is updated weekly to provide health, wellness, and well-being resources that are available through both or campus and greater community. We will be adding Illinois student curated resources aimed at the 8-dimensions of wellness.  This calendar is packed with opportunities from classes on stress management, to adult social dance classes, and workshops covering therapeutic arts. Find information on upcoming fun runs, and athletic events. Explore what it means for you to “be-well Illinois”.

    Many students are told that perfectionism is a good thing and necessary for success. However, studies show that perfectionistic attitudes can interfere with success. This 3-part program helps students realize when perfectionism is more harmful than good and develop more realistic expectations.

    Many students find taking tests, completing assignments, and/or giving presentations very stressful. At times, this stress can be counterproductive and negatively impact performance. Fortunately, there are ways to address anxiety so that you can do your best work. During the academic year, we offer drop-in Test Anxiety Workshops.

    This workshop is a body acceptance-based program designed to help students feel better about their bodies as we directly discuss the impact of diversity within cultural appearance ideals (including race, gender identity, sexuality, ability, and age) and critique the individual and collective impact of pursuing exclusive appearance norms.
