Illini Union Staff Training & Development

The Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis. 

MHFA courses include approximately two hours of on-line pre-course work, seven hours of in-person training, and an hour of on-line post-coursework.  All must be completed to achieve certification.  Participants must attend both days of the half-day sessions. 

If needed, please obtain supervisor permission to attend this event. Advanced registration is required.
