Title: An overview of curving counting invariants and symmetric obstruction theory

Abstract: To accommodate the new members of our seminar, I will first give an overview of curving counting invariants including GW, DT, and PT theory, and perfect obstruction theory. Then I will start talking about symmetric obstruction theory with its important result on virtual numbers. More applications and results will be covered in the talk next week.
