Student Wellness Calendar

Recently retired after working for the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for over 20 years, artist Michael O. Thomas is motivated by the "inherent beauty in people," and shares that he is compelled to depict his subjects "realistically and in detail." 

For Thomas, "each person has inherent value to be represented, lending an element of storytelling, including one that is allegorical. Using oil paint, graphite, and colored pencils, Thomas's work "depicts transformation, introspection, growth, healing, and the fanciful."

The exhibit runs from April 16 - May 29.
