Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning

To kick-off the “Fall into AI,” CITL’s Przemek Bosak will peek under the hood of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as well as its subset and most popular modern exponent of itMachine Learning (ML).  The presentation will briefly trace the origins of AI, and the role the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign has played in the shaping of present-day AI.The following foundational questions will be addressed:  How does AI work?  How does it know what it knows?  What does it do well?  What are the processes behind it?  The presentation will conclude with a short, speculative overview of the future of Artificial Intelligence.

This hybrid presentation will take place on October 1 at 1:00 pm in CITL’s Innovation Studio (Armory 172) and on Zoom. No registration is required.
