Abstract:
The ESCAPADE mission (Escape and Plasma Acceleration and Dynamics Explorers) is NASA's newest mission to Mars and it is trailblazing many new paths on its journey. First, it is humanity's first formation of dedicated scientific observatories to explore another planet. Second, it literally had to find a new way to get to Mars in order to launch in 2025. Third, it did all of this on a shoestring budget. This presentation will walk through all of the challenges, lessons learned, and excitement that has come with the ESCAPADE mission, as well as what to expect in the coming months and years.
