Art Reception: Caroline Goldsmith — Seeing  More of the World Through Painting

Join us for a reception celebrating the work of impressionist landscape oil painter Caroline Goldsmith, a dual citizen of Australia and the United States who now calls Monticello, Illinois home. Goldsmith is a member of Oil Painters of America and a Signature Artist with International Plein Air Painters.

Her paintings draw deeply from the natural world, transforming the beauty and wonder of the landscape into vivid, tangible works. Often painting outdoors, Goldsmith captures the shifting light, color, and character of a scene with remarkable immediacy. She describes her connection to the landscape as a physical, emotional experience—like encountering old and new friends.
