Attend one of our Third Saturday Garden Tours — conducted monthly between April and October — and experience the beauty of Allerton’s Formal Gardens. Learn the history behind their creation and about the history of the Allerton estate, which was created between 1899 and 1946 by Robert Allerton and John Gregg.
Garden tours start at 10 a.m. and meet on the Greenhouse Café patio. Tours typically last 45 to 60 minutes and will continue in a light drizzle. In case of lightning/thunder, the tour will be cancelled, and your ticket can be transferred to another tour date upon request.
$5/person, ages 5 and under are free.
Space is limited and tours typically sell out.
Purchase your tickets here. (NOTE: If tickets are sold out and you need additional children’s tickets, email Olivia Bunting at owarren@illinois.edu.)
Find a map of the Formal Gardens here. Please note the tour will not include all the gardens.
