Project READ tutors provide free basic reading, basic math, and/or ESL tutoring to adults in our area traditionally in a public community setting (like the library) or in an Adult Ed Classroom at Parkland College or at the Urbana Adult Education Center.
We offer support and training for our tutors so that they are best equipped to work with the learners on their goals. In order to provide these tutoring services, we ask that volunteers commit to tutoring at least 2 hours every week.
All new volunteers must register before attending a training session. Click me to register.
