We'll kick off this summer workshop series with an overview of backward design, a simple course design method that will help you ensure proper alignment of objectives, assessments, and activities within your course. We hope you can attend most of the workshops in the series, so you can get to know fellow participants and work with them over time on course development, but it is OK if you attend only those workshops that interest you most.

This workshop is part of the What You Need to Know: Essentials of Course Design series. You may sign up for any or all workshops in the series using the registration form. From 3:30pm-4:00pm after every workshop in the series, you can stick around to learn about Canvas features relevant to the day's topic.

This workshop counts towards the Graduate Teacher Certificate or the Certificate in Foundations of Teaching.
