The Level 1: Introduction To Safety & Security Abroad For First-Time Program Leaders guides program leaders (faculty, staff, or students leading programs) in preparing for the safest possible experience abroad. Those who lead, or assist, short-term education abroad or other University-related travel abroad for students must attend at least one workshop a year.

Food for Thought, a Lunch-on-Us series, is a weekly noontime discussion focused on topics relevant to the Asian American community.

Join us for a special Names Training focused on Turkish names! This interactive session will explore the diverse linguistic and cultural influences that shape Turkish names. You’ll gain insight into name structures, pronunciation tips, and cultural context—guided by our presenter with lived experience and knowledge of Turkish naming customs.

Dinner on Us is administered by the Native American House and is part of the Lunch on Us Series within SSIB. DOU is a biweekly, one-hour program featuring scholar- and practitioner-led workshops alongside a shared meal. Workshops explore a range of subjects and provide participants with opportunities to connect with peers and experts in a casual setting.
