Discover the art of American quilting through stories, patterns, and community traditions. This workshop includes a trunk show of traditional and modern quilts and a hands-on activity where you’ll create your own fabric star ornament—no sewing experience needed. Free and open to all, with snacks provided.

Join us for fun activities and get connected with other students and find your home away from home. In this session we will offer a variety of crafts to work on including crochet and calligraphy. We will provide materials and will be able to teach you the basics of each. Lunch is provided on a first come, first serve basis.

Come enjoy some creative time in the library! We’ll have board games, puzzles, and supplies to make your own zine (pronounced ZEEN)! Zines are DIY self-published works that can be about anything you want. Stop by to see some example zines, learn a zine fold, and make your own with free materials supplied by the library. Join us for a hands-on Arabic Calligraphy event where participants learn about the art of Arabic calligraphy and practice writing Arabic letters and words in an aesthetic and creative way.

Join us for a Henna event where students have the opportunity to decorate their hands with henna designs. This is fun and artistic.
