The documentary chronicles the life and career of Nobel Laureate and Illinois alumnus, Phil Sharp, who will attend the event. The film is narrated by Mark Ruffalo and part of the PBS Independent Lens documentary series.

The film presents a picture of the “frontier” that departs from the existing popular culture narrative and celebrates the singular contribution of a community-building immigrant artist in America.
