Join us for a special film screening and book event sponsored Illinois Public Media. George A. Romero’s 1968 horror masterpiece, Night of the Living Dead, follows a group of panicked survivors trapped in a rural Pennsylvania farmhouse as flesh-eating ghouls lay siege to the house. The movie is celebrated for revolutionizing the modern zombie genre.
The event includes a screening of Night of the Living Dead, followed by an on-stage conversation between U of I alum Daniel Kraus, Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist and author of Partially Devoured: How Night of the Living Dead Saved My LIfe and Changed the World, and Illinois Alumni magazine editor-in-chief Ryan Ross, and wraps up with a book signing by the author.
