Global and Intercultural Events
This calendar includes social, cultural, educational, and informational programs, workshops, and events designed to foster intercultural learning and global understanding. All opportunities are open to the campus community. However, some opportunities are specifically designed for international students, international scholars, and study abroad participants.

The newsletter is sent biweekly on Fridays. All international students and scholars are automatically subscribed.
Events are designed and facilitated by Illinois International's Global Communications team in close collaboration with International Student and Scholar Services and dozens of campus partners.

Join us for fun activities and get connected with other students and find your home away from home. In this session we will offer a variety of crafts to work on including crochet and calligraphy. We will provide materials and will be able to teach you the basics of each. Lunch is provided. Celebrating Pride Month.

Strengthen your intercultural communication skills in this essential training for faculty, staff, scholars, and graduate teaching assistants. Stumbling Blocks to Intercultural Communication is a ISSS workshop designed to help participants identify and overcome common barriers in cross-cultural interactions.

Join language learners and language lovers for a informal meet & greet. Connect with students from the Intensive Language Instruction Program (ILIP) and learn about their experiences. Dinner is provided at no cost. Open to everyone, no registration.
