    RBML’s new exhibit celebrates the 75th anniversary of Gwendolyn Brooks’s 'Annie Allen' – the poetry collection that won the first Pulitzer Prize by a Black author – and explores the rich history of Black literature’s emergence into the mainstream. On display through May 2025.

    Join Ricker Library for an embroidery-themed study break on Reading Day. Drop in any time between 4-6 PM to learn about the Japanese art of sashiko, and make your own coaster. The event is beginner friendly, and supplies will be provided.

    Come and celebrate the semester’s end with hot apple cider, sweet and salty treats, and some of our favorite winter-themed materials from the RBML vault. Make a button, relax with a coloring sheet, and leave with a letterpress poetry card! This event is part of the library's biannual Reading Day De-Stress Fest; it is open to the public and refreshments will be served.
