RBML's fall exhibit featuring the University of Illinois Library's extensive Conde de Montemar letters collection, as well as other rare and fascinating books about the 16th-Century Spanish conquest and colonization of Perú.

In honor of Women’s History Month, the Funk ACES Library invite you to learn about University of Illinois alum Minna Ernestine Jewell, an early twentieth century aquatic ecologist and zoologist who studied midwestern aquatic habitats extensively.

Alexandra Barbier, Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Dance, whose work centers African American vernacular dance forms, will present Stations of Black Loss - Work(s) in Progress.

The exhibition highlights the works of women and collections about women in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies at the University of Illinois and beyond.

Reiko Huffman, Assistant Professor of Scenic Design in the Department of Theatre, presents Scenic Design and the Process.

The Image of Research – UR Edition is a multidisciplinary competition celebrating the diversity and breadth of undergraduate student research at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. All undergraduate students are invited to submit entries consisting of an image and brief text that articulates how the image relates to the research.

Nekita Thomas, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design in the School of Art + Design, will hold the interactive Design and the Black Spatial Imaginary Workshop: Creating Black-Affirming Public Spaces.

This lecture debates upon the definition and function of the term, 'identity' and 'culture' leading to the argument that identity encapsulates difference while culture is a phenomenon by which decolonization occurs. The later part of the presentation reads select South Asian works to reveal the nature of identity and culture and the multiple levels at which it exists.
