Do more in your community by joining our board. NAMI Champaign County (IL) is seeking members based near Champaign to join us and help with governance, fundraising, and planning for the future. We're looking to fill the Treasurer position on our Executive Board for the 2023-2024 fiscal year (July 1st-June 31st).

Help in Salt & Light's nonprofit thrift store, with sorting, pricing, hanging, and processing donated items or stocking and staging items on the sales floor. Monday-Saturday 9am-8pm, Sundays 11am-5pm Link: https://saltandlightministry.org/volunteer/

Serving twice a month on our on-call Crisis Hotline. This is a regularly needed volunteer opportunity. It has no end date; 18 and up

Project READ provides free tutoring to adult learners who seek to improve their basic reading, writing, math, and English skills. Help us support our adult learners by joining our community of volunteers. Regularly needed volunteer opportunity. 17 or older (with HS diploma or GED). Volunteer must provide own transportation. Other All tutoring locations are located on MTD

This fall we will be at both Champaign Church of Christ and Hope Center. Volunteers are needed to pack bags, unload deliveries and pick up and take bins to school. Volunteer activities will primarily be on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Food for Thought, a Lunch-on-Us series, is a weekly noontime discussion focused on topics relevant to the Asian American community. Past discussions include topics such as nutrition, mental health, sexual health, and media representation of Asian Americans. Free lunch for attendees.

Help Champaign County Forest Preserves collect and reuse prairie seeds in our restoration work! Staff will guide you and answer questions. All ages welcome. Plan to be off trail for collecting. Wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. Check social media the morning of the event in case of weather cancellations.

Speak Café stands for Song, Poetry, Expression, Art, and Knowledge. It is an open-mic public performance space at Krannert Art Museum curated by local artist, Shaya Robinson, featuring guest performers and welcoming all to the mic.
