Project READ provides free tutoring to adult learners who seek to improve their basic reading, writing, math, and English skills. Help us support our adult learners by joining our community of volunteers. Regularly needed volunteer opportunity. 17 or older (with HS diploma or GED). Volunteer must provide own transportation. Other All tutoring locations are located on MTD

This fall we will be at both Champaign Church of Christ and Hope Center. Volunteers are needed to pack bags, unload deliveries and pick up and take bins to school. Volunteer activities will primarily be on Mondays and Tuesdays.

We practice, model, and teach design thinking and human-centered design in collaboration with all disciplines, majors, and departments at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as our community-at-large.

The purpose of the event is for the community to join us in beautifying the shelter campus both inside and outside. We plan to remove dead shrubs, plants, add to our flower beds, install seating areas and shading, as well as paint walls, organize donations and generally tidy all spaces. 18 to Adult. Food for Thought, a Lunch-on-Us series, is a weekly noontime discussion focused on topics relevant to the Asian American community. Past discussions include topics such as nutrition, mental health, sexual health, and media representation of Asian Americans. Free lunch for attendees.

AACC presents the launch of the Asian and Asian American Grad Network. The grad network aims to build community among Asian and Asian American graduate students at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Join us for our launch event on September 5, 2023, from 4 PM - 6 PM at the AACC.

Join us for a Weekend Workday! We are a non-profit urban farm dedicated to producing high-quality produce, especially for those with limited food resources. Volunteers help provide basic farm maintenance so that we can grow the best veggies possible. Tasks differ, but may include weeding, mulching, or removing brush.

StreetFest: Chowdown in Campustown is a new public event in campustown featuring live music, vendors, and food. Volunteers will assist attendees, direct traffic, and setup tables, and remove trash

All volunteers will receive a designated Street Fest tee to wear that day and if volunteers work 4 or more hours they will also receive a gift card of their choice from a Campustown business.
