4:00 pm 11/17/2020Thyroid hormone is key to every process in the body and its regulation is disrupted during illness, obesity and weight loss. Our laboratory hypothesizes the neuroendocrine thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) neurons are the integrator of peripheral signals to regulate thyroid hormone levels and we are using a combination of genetic mouse models and chemogenetics.
