Undergrads interested in a career in biomedical research are encouraged to participate in the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF). Illinois pre-selection allows for Illinois students to submit their Mayo Clinic SURF application to a selection committee of Illinois faculty and staff. The Illinois pre-selection application is now open. Apply by Nov. 7.
Join us for the second session of the DoD Grant Seeking Workshop as IHSI Research Development Manager Maggie Berg presents an overview of the DoD application and review process. Join us for a virtual panel discussion and hear from NIMHD officials on the mission of the NIMHD, an overview of their approach to health disparities research, current research priorities and funding opportunities, and how to best secure funding with NIMHD. Presentation, panel, and Q&A.
The Storytelling Series seeks to highlight the journeys of our faculty. This November session will feature our own QRI leader, Melissa Ocepek, an Assistant Professor in the School of Information Sciences. The Storytelling Series will be offered in a hybrid format, both in-person in the Main Library, Room 220 (limited capacity) and via Zoom. Registration required.
