The record breaking 1993 flood occurred during the summer of 1993 after the spring flooding. The Illinois State Geological Survey documented conditions along the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers from helicopters, boats and land before, during and after many of the levee breaches.

This talk will explore advances in chemical recycling of plastic waste, focusing on catalytic depolymerization using earth-abundant catalysts and hydrogen-free pathways. It will also examine emerging approaches for recycling mixed plastic waste and discuss the technical, economic, and environmental challenges of achieving polymer circularity.
