This academic year, graduate students from the Linguistics Department, Spanish and Portuguese Department and other departments will be organizing and hosting two graduate student conferences focused on language and linguistics - the 13th annual Illinois Language and Linguistics Society (ILLS) Conference and the 3nd annual Sociolinguistics Symposium (SOSY 2021). They will be held together on the 26 and 27 of February 2021 and both will be completely virtual.
