Students, faculty, and staff are invited to an Open Forum on the University Library. Topics will include the status of the building project to convert the Undergraduate Library into an Archives and Special Collections facility; new evidence synthesis/systematic review services; Library open scholarship efforts and savings for Illinois authors through Wiley and Elsevier agreements; Library support for digital research tools and strategies (including AI tools); upcoming changes in Library discovery tools; and the Library collections budget and collection development activities. There will also be remarks from Dean of Libraries and University Librarian Claire Stewart about the state of the Library and future library initiatives. Light refreshments will be served to those attending in person. Please register to attend via Zoom.
