Names Across Cultures

Join us for our Names Across Cultures workshop! This interactive session will explore the diverse linguistic and cultural influences that shape names. You’ll gain insight into name structures, pronunciation tips, and cultural context- guided by our presenter with lived experience and knowledge of naming customs.

Open to faculty, staff, scholars, students, and community members. Whether you work directly with international students and scholars or simply want to enhance your cultural awareness, this session will be a valuable opportunity to grow your intercultural communication skills.

Participants will be encouraged to submit names in advance or bring examples to the session. Practicing with real names will create a meaningful and engaging experience for everyone.
