Young LGBTQIA+ people continue toexperience and witness alarming rates ofhomophobia/biphobia/transphobia in sportand movement settings. In this presentation,Dr. Ryan Storr from Swinburne University(Australia) will share data on participationrates, experiences of discrimination, andfactors influencing LGBTQIA+ youngpeople’s engagement in sport and physicalactivity. Dr. Storr will then explorerecommendations for creating inclusive andwelcoming sports environments. Theresearch is based on a two-year funded study byVicHealth, who are a leading Health PromotionOrganisation in Melbourne, Australia.
