DUE TO HIGH DEMAND: Please complete the GLOBE Info Session RSVP form to indicate which you will attend.
Interested in participating in GLOBE Fall 2024? All current UIUC students are welcome to join the info session to learn about the structure, activities and engagement metrics before you start your GLOBE journey and hear the stories shared by former participants. Please make sure you complete the interest form before the session. Dinner is provided.
You will want to participate if you:
Are a current student at U of I (domestic or international)
Have a sincere interest in sharing one’s culture and building relationships
Have an interest in getting involved in campus life
Want to develop intercultural communication and leadership skills
Once you submit your interest form, these are the next steps:
Attend the Info Session & Meet and Greet GLOBE Info Session RSVP
GLOBE participants will then be invited to a Canvas learning space to keep track of their progress toward membership by completing required activities and reflections.
GLOBE participants can select one of three "tracks" to focus on:
Intercultural Communication
Leadership in a Global Context
Service & Sustainability
GLOBE participants will need to meet with their cohort throughout the semester, attend other IE and campus programs and events, and complete some reflections and brief activities in a Canvas learning space to secure membership by the end of the semester.
