The first installment of the Slavic Reference Services' Research and Language Learning Series for Spring 2024 will be on Wednesday, March 20th at 2:00 pm Central Time through Zoom. This series was developed by the SRS in Fall 2021 to give scholars and students a space to discuss the role of language proficiency in their research process. We are jointly hosting this online discussion series with Language Workshop at Indiana University, American Councils, the Melikian Center at Arizona State University, and the Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
This series invites established scholars to discuss the role language proficiency plays in research, with examples from their own scholarly work. Language learners of all academic backgrounds to participate in these discussions.
