This calendar includes events from units or departments on campus that have an international or global focus.
Dr. Rosalyn LaPier will explore the historic land management practices of Indigenous women of the northern Great Plains (in what is now Montana and North Dakota) who after centuries of harvesting, tending and gardening created sustainable landscapes of abundance. She will also explore how Indigenous women gave meaning to the plants of the prairies and how contemporary Indigenous women are leading efforts to combat environmental (in)justice.
This event will take place at the Asian American Cultural Center.
