Take part in a two week faculty-led trip to Massey University in New Zealand. Program participants will have the opportunity to connect with academic staff, tutors and students at Massey University and will gain an appreciation of the wildlife conservation approaches set up and led by Massey University, and New Zealand nature and culture in general. Held on Massey’s Manawatu Campus in Palmerston North, participants will stay in dorms and have a chance to experience campus life at Massey University.

The key focuses of the program is to experience New Zealand wildlife and their unique conservation challenges through a series of faculty lectures, interactive observations and rotations at Wildbase Hospital (a wildlife hospital), Pathology, and Wildbase Recovery, introduction to groundbreaking conservation projects, and field trips with guided tours to Pukaha Mount Bruce National Wildlife Centre, predator free Kapiti Island, Tongariro National Park, Auckland Zoo, and the Zealandia Eco sanctuary.  By the end of the trip, participants will gain an appreciation for wildlife care and conservation in the field and in a veterinary hospital setting.
