TIS is co-sponsoring this lecture by Professor Pedro Mateo Pedro from the University of Toronto. 

In this talk, Professor Pedro Mateo Pedro will discuss his work on Mayan languages in Guatemala (Q’anjob’al) highlighting language documentation, language maintenance, and research. His projects rely on community involvement, and with this talk he hopes to motivate future work on the documentation and maintenance of Mayan languages in the Urbana-Champaign area.
