Eligibility Requirements

Gilman Scholarship Eligibility

·         U.S. Citizen

·         Undergraduate student in good standing at U.S. institution

·         Receiving a Federal Pell Grant during the term of application submission or term abroad

·         Credit-bearing program

·         Abroad for at least 3 weeks for students from 4-year institutions or 2 weeks for students from 2-year institutions

·         Traveling to a country or area with an overall Travel Advisory Level 1 or 2

Gilman-McCain Scholarship Eligibility

·         U.S. Citizen

·         Undergraduate student in good standing at U.S. institution

·         Child dependent of an active duty military member in the branches: Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Coast Guard, including activated (currently on active duty) Reserve Forces, Air National Guard, and Army National Guard

·         Receiving any type of Title IV Federal Financial Aid during the term of application submission or term abroad

·         Credit-bearing program

·         Abroad for at least 3 weeks for students from 4-year institutions or 2 weeks for students from 2-year institutions

·         Traveling to a country or area with an overall Travel Advisory Level 1 or 2
