International Student & Scholar Services hosts the graduate orientation program in August. The orientation program is two days long and the goals are to welcome new graduate international students to campus; to introduce students to resources on campus; and to provide an opportunity for our new students to meet returning graduate international students and interact with our campus partners.
Educational sessions focus on the international graduate student experience at Illinois and include presentations by the Graduate College, Writers Workshop, Technology Services, the International and Area Studies Library, Research Data Service and many more. The orientation will conclude with an hour-long Graduate Panel discussion, which will give incoming students the opportunity to ask questions of returning international graduate students.
