Mathematics Seminar Series: Quantum Working Group

SpeakerJananan Arulseelan
Title: Computable Continuous Model Theory for Quantum Information Theorists

Abstract: I will explain some of the main ideas in the recent computable model theory of operator algebras which arose in the wake of MIP*=RE. After a crash course in continuous logic, I will outline deep connections between quantum correlations, the universal theories of certain tracial von Neumann algebras, and embedding problems in the style of Connes.

This is the weekly seminar of the Quantum Working Group in the Department of Mathematics. For questions, please reach out to Marius Junge, Gabriele La Nave, Felix Leditzky, or Amanda Young.
