Fall Annual Faculty Retreat: Where We Begin: Building Community in Teaching and Learning

Teaching can feel different today than it did even a few years ago. Faculty are navigating new technologies, changing student expectations, increasing demands on attention and wellbeing, and a rapidly evolving teaching landscape. Yet many of these challenges are not unique to a single discipline. This retreat creates space for faculty across campus to connect, reflect, and learn from one another as we explore a simple question: What feels harder about teaching today than it did five years ago? Together, we will identify common challenges, share experiences, and begin a year-long conversation about the opportunities and realities shaping teaching and learning today.
